The WWF Affiliated Oasis of Castel Romano: A Natural Treasure to Discover
The WWF Affiliated Oasis of Castel Romano extends for approximately 11 hectares within the Decima-Malafede Nature Reserve. This natural jewel is home to over 2 km of paths, where conservation interventions aim to preserve the typical agricultural landscape of the Roman countryside, integrating it with wooded areas of notable naturalistic interest. The configuration of the Oasis favors a rich diversity of ecosystems, ranging from humid prairie to Mediterranean forest, with areas specifically created to increase the presence of pollinator species.
Guided tours
The Oasis is open all year round and entry is free. However, for a more in-depth and enriching experience, you can book guided tours with WWF experts every weekend, from 11am to 7pm, until 14 July. The hour-long guided tours offer a maximum of 50 places per session, with each group accompanied by two WWF guides.
Visits take place every Saturday and Sunday, with two shifts available: 12pm and 3pm. The meeting point with the guides is at the Guest Services of #CastelRomanoOutlet.
